Brief Answer:
It is paresthesia and requires evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to health care magic

It seems from the history that you are having tingling sensation involving whole of the body and starting in the face behind the eyes.
Tingling sensation and numbness are together called as paresthesia and is seen in conditions which involve the nerves. The common causes are pressure over the nerves after prolonged sitting or sleeping, deficiency of vital nutrients like calcium, sodium, deficiency of vitamin B 12 , ....
The other causes leading to generalized tingling sensation are uncontrolled diabetes.
Since you are having this symptom on prolonged sitting or on sleeping pressure effect on the nerve needs to be ruled out.

Since you are having repeated episodes you need to undergo evaluation to rule out common causes like pressure over nerves in neck, deficiency of essential nutrients....

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

After I asked this I layed down and it started happening again. Almost every time this happens as soon as the numbness shoots through the body I just open my eyes and maybe move my legs a little. But I felt very exhausted and decided to just keep my eyes shut, this was the most scary experience I have ever been through. Almost immediately like with the snap of a finger I was in a deep REM-like sleep but I would almost describe it more like a hullucination. Because everything was exactly the same as when I had my eyes open a few seconds earlier. The "hallucination" lasted maybe 3 minutes but I had a terrifying experience that I could not control myself and was hurting myself and I felt I was going insane. I have seen movies about people taking drugs like LSD or DMT and peyote that could compare to this. Please help me understand what is going on. It is Friday night and I won't be able to get into a doctor until Monday morning and I need to be able to have a general idea of things it may be

Brief Answer:
Pressure effect over nerves needs to be ruled out.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

These symptoms indicate paresthesia. Since the symptoms are present on lying down pressure effect over the nerves need to be ruled out.
The other causes which affect the nerve like deficiency of essential nutrients and vitamins need to be considered. As of now you can take analgesic tablets and vitamin B supplements.
Later you need to consult your doctor for evaluation and treatment.
Since you are only 18 years no serious causes like neuropathies, diabetic neuropathy.... will be present at this age, so no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
