Brief Answer:
Tardive Dyskinesia with Fluoxetine is very rare.

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern and before going into details I'd like to tell you that Fluoxetine is a safe drug and since you were taking 80 mg per day already and even if by accident you took 120 mg per day for three days this could not cause any permanent serious effects.

The risk of Tardive dyskinesia with Fluoxetine is very rare so no need to worry. You were taking Fluoxetine only and if you had no pre-existing neurological condition then the risk further decreases. I haven't observed such side effect any of my patients on Fluoxetine.

With Propranolol this twitching will decrease. This can be treated easily.

The twitching responded to Propranolol and this also prove that that occurred due to over dose of Fluoxetine or due to exacerbation of anxiety. So remain relaxed this is not a permanent condition, no need to worry.

As this is not a tardive dyskinesia so this will not affect your looks. Just try to suppress the anxiety about this.

Thanks. Take care

Brief Answer:
This will not progress.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for asking a follow up

So no need to worry. No history of neurological disorder, you are on Fluoxetine only so no history of recent neuroleptic drug use. The chances that these symptoms are due to some neurological condition are extremely rare.

Don't think about this again and again. Just try to ignore this twitching and in few days you will be alright. This will not progress because this just due to anxiety.

Thanks.
