Brief Answer:
Nerve injury

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Eventhough the bruise was superficial it is quite possible that nerve ending were involved. Nerve ending takes about 6 to 8 weeks to re build, it causes a typical tingling/ electric shock like sensation. Here are my suggestions to you

1. Vit b12 supplements are known to improve the symptoms and also help in faster repair of the nerves. You can take one daily
2. if the tingling sensation persists even after 3 weeks I strongly recommend that you get a nerve conduction study to rule out peripheral neuropathy.

What is unusual is that you had tingling of the hands as well, however sometimes a generalised response could happen due to pain and nerve stimulation

I hope I was of help

regards
