What Causes Tight Foreskin And Clear Fluid Discharge From Penis?

default
Posted on Tue, 21 Jul 2015
Question: I had sex with my partner a few times two nights ago and immediately after I noticed A part of my foreskin (a third of the foreskin) seems to be filled with some fluid or liquid making it a brighter pink colour and I haven't been able to pull more foreskin back to normal yet. My penis has also periodically been secreting a few drops of a clear fluid. Its not really painfully as much as it just a discomfort. Is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance

Brief Answer:
It is actually problem of phimosis and smegma.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

There is two possibilities of inability and difficulty in pulling back fore skin,

1) Phimosis (tight skin with small hole ) or
2) tight frenulum on under side of penis ( a tag of skin or mucosa attaching foreskin to the glans penis).

In both cases, person faces difficulty or pain during or after sex.

Now,This few drops of clear fluid over glans penis could be smegma which everyone produces.

This smegma is nothing but the mixture of dead skin cells, seminal remnants, urine deposits or sebaceous oil and there is nothing that you can do to stop it being produced throughout your life where bacteria and urine could make it smelly.

So be sure to deal with it as part of your daily hygiene.

One should wash it daily while bathing just retracting his foreskin downwards(if possible in your case) and by rinsing with clean shower water .It will remove the excess smegma, leaving a healthy, natural, micro thin layer of this beneficial product to keep the glans moist and sensitive.

Never use soap under the foreskin as it leaves soap deposits that reactivate in the natural moisture, and cause burning or irritation. Soap also removes all the natural moisturising effect of the smegma, leaving the glans and foreskin dry and open to infections.

If both your problems (phimosis and smegma) persists even after daily cleaning then circumcision would be the best option for which you can consult general surgeon and he will guide you accordingly.

Thanks and Regards,

Brief Answer:
Keep it clean.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow-up.

Yes,as i said earlier you should keep your glans penis skin clean.

1) wash it daily while bathing just retracting his foreskin downwards and by rinsing with clean shower water .
2) Never use soap under the foreskin as it leaves soap deposits that reactivate in the natural moisture, and cause burning or irritation.

If still problem persists then,

i) it might be dermatitis for which you can apply cortizone and clotrimazole topical cream or ointments with antihistamines.

So,it would be better to see a dermatologist immediately and then start the treatment.

Thank you for the follow up answer!

I think the problem is more that my frenulum is swollen and i am not able to pull my foreskin back up.

Will everything be ok if i wait for the swelling to subside or should i look for treatment?

Thanks once again in advance!

Brief Answer:
Should be subsided within 1 or 2 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow-up.

Swollen frenulum might indicate some bacterial infection but it should be subsided within 1 or 2 days to get back to normal.

In case not, then you can apply antiseptic cream over the area and can take small course oral antibiotics like cefixime 200 with analgesic and serrartiopeptidase combination (serra-D).

The antibiotic is a prescription drug for which you can consult some local doctor who may prescribe it.

Hope this will help you.
