Brief Answer:
Allergy, PND, reflux

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. Such symptoms suggest either an allergy, a Post Nasal Drip (PND) or a reflux problem. Sometimes all these are causes contribute.

2. Take a trial with an anti-allergic, mucolytic, an anti-reflux agent, steam inhalation and a medicated gargle. Most of these should be available OTC. A bland diet will also help.

3. A video-laryngoscopy and a nasal endoscopy will be useful. A sinus CT may be considered. Lymphoid hypertrophy in the throat can make the throat sensitive.

4. These are common symptoms, easily treatable and not a cause for worry.

I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
