What Causes Throat Pain After Swallowing A Hard Bit Of Chocolate?

Question: I swallowed a bite of chocolate cake earlier, about 10 minutes ago. It hurt, like a lump in my throat when I did. fairly painful, but it went down. My question is did it hurt because it went into my lungs , down th wrong pipe? It wasn't a choking feeling really just like swallowing a large pill. It doesn't feel like it is stuck and I am breathing fine.

Chocolate will melt very fast inside out body, since you swallowed a hard bit of chocolate, it would have hurt you initially, but there is nothing to worry, it would go down your food pipe and into the stomach.

It was actually chocolate cake, but I didn't cough or choke. It just hurt. Throat is still a little sore.
