Brief Answer:
Mild intermittent pain or heaviness is normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After a spine surgery the spine takes 3-4 months to heal properly and the process becomes even slower in case of an infection like TB. The feeling of heaviness that persists for a few minutes is just normal and does not suggest of any serious pathology. She can use a L-S belt while sitting to give an extra support to the back. The back muscle strengthening exercises will gradually help her in regaining the normal tone of muscles and then she will be able to sit or stand.
I hope this answers your query.
