Question: Hi,my 17 year old daughter woke up this morning and told me that she could not see on her right eye for approximately 3 minutes she said total darkness. otherwise she is a very healthy and active person.

Thanks for sending your query to us.

Though a young girl should not have anything wrong with her but she has to be examined and investigated.
Other than complete physical examination she has to have routine blood tests like total and differential counts, general blood picture and urine examination-routine and microscopic.
If everything is fine then she has good balanced diet and exercises and we keep a watch over her symptoms.
