Brief answer...given below Detailed answer.... Hello, Thanks for the query. The basic salt of coversyl is perindopril which is an ace inhibitor class of anti hypertensive medications. There can be two reasons for your headache. 1st....Headache is a known side effect of PERIDOPRIL and occurs in 25% of people taking this medicine. This is due to the vasodilation action of the drug resulting in arteries of brain getting dilated and more rushing of blood.Gradually person starts tolerating it. 2nd ....You may have developed low blood pressure because of the medicine and in such a case,a reduction in dose can bring your blood pressure normal and once your blood pressure becomes normal, your headache shall settle. My advice to you would be to consult your doctor and get your blood pressure checked and discuss with him. There is nothing to worry as everything should settle soon. I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query. Best of luck. Thanks
