Question: Hello I just had a flu shot yesterday got a dry feeling in back if my throat immediately after given shot this evening my tongue seems swollen and back of throat is swore I'm worried can my throat and tongue continue to swell after 24 hours of taking vaccine

Very rarely some individuals develop allergy to the vaccination received. It looks like you have developed an allergic reaction to the flu shot, I strongly recommend that you take tab avil immediately and then Aporoach a gp for further evaluation
Danger signs are for approaching an ER facility are

1. Difficulty in breathing
2. generalised rash
3. excessive sweating
4. dizziness

I took a Motrin a hour ago not sure if I should sleep can the reaction get worse after this time or does it subside and get less as time

Thanks for getting back, I am sorry for the short delay in my response. I just got back from the hospital.

Mortin should settle the inflammation as well although less effective than Avil. If you are better then the reaction should settle down with time. It usually takes about 5 days to be completely alright
