What Causes Swollen Throat After Taking Adderall?

default
Posted on Mon, 13 Apr 2015
Question: I use 20 mg. Adderall for Adult ADD. It has worked very well for me at that specific dosage. But I have an ongoing problem with mild throat-swelling, and wicked post-nasal drip. It's a ongoing feeling that I need to swallow, but nothing is there. I've had an Endoscopy--negative. I know it's related to Adderall, because symptoms lessen with non-use. What can I use to treat this annoying side-effect, which has me constantly sniffing, and gulping. Thanks. T. Wall, Jr.

Brief Answer:
Try different dosage regimen.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You're right, swollen throat is a possible side effect of Adderall.

When a drug after usage manifests serious side effects, its use is stopped.

Your symptoms seems to be mild, so you can try different dosage regimen to lessen side effects, for example 5 mg Adderall three times a day.

Other things you can do to fight swollen throat are: drink cold milk, have ice cream, besides salt water.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
