Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

As you might know lymph nodes can become swollen in response to viral or bacterial infections. Sometimes in a case of influenza this can cause significant swelling of lymph nodes in the neck or other parts of the body.

If you see the lymph nodespersisting for more than 10 to 12 days I would consider seeing your doctor but it sounds like these lymph nodes are reactive. Reactive lymph nodes are participating in the immune process of fighting infections and I am fairly confident that this is the case for you.

Thanks again for sending your question and let us know if we can help you with anything else in the future.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
