What Causes Swollen Legs, Aching Joints, Tiredness And Depression With Skin Lesions?

Question: I am a type one diabetic. my legs are swollen like memory foam from my knees to my ankles. I am getting red itchy bumps on my face and left arm. my knees, ankles, and wrists are sore. I am always tired and sometimes depressed. My GP has done a urine analysis that came back normal and is currently doing a full blood work up. what are the possibilities of what can be wrong with me?

Thank you for your response. I have heard that steroids are a common treatment. I am leary of this being T1D, and have not had a good response to steroids in the past. What other treatment options are there?

Streroids are the common treatment for autoimmune diseases, however if one doesn't reponds to steroids, then other immunomodulator and cytotoxic drugs are given. There are various options available, and response to them is generally good and quick.
