What Causes Swelling In The Scrotum?

Question: Hello my husband is having a rash and swollen scrotom , his thighs r warm along with the scrotom, he went to the demitalogist and he cave him a cream and said put this on the doctor said it was an allergic rection to a tell he was putting on.. Im worried this will damage his reproduction area.. Plz advise

Allergic reaction may occur to some talc/other cosmetic products. But is unusual to have swollen scrotum and increase in temperature over that part. Swollen scrotum is usually seen in epididymo-orchitis. Details regarding any itch/pain/associated fever,urinary frequency/burning sensation would have helped us to advise you better.
If the cream used is effective then continue it for relief, if not please visit your doctor again for followup. Allergic reaction and even infection if treated properly cannot cause damage to reproductive ability of a man.
