What Causes Swelling In Scrotum And Abdominal Bloating?
Question: I am presently 75. approx 5 years ago my testicles almost overnight became about 3 times larger. the left sac is larger. when I feel up into my stomach i can almost push back the contents.. I am not a fat person but do have a little fat around my mid section . I have experienced no pain but there is some discomfort when i wear clothing or use the bathroom with small seats. its embarassing to say the least.. I am very active .. XXXXXXX

Dear Sir, swelling in scrotum with contents that you can push back into abdomen very likely points toward inguinal hernia most probably an indirect kind.
It occurs with age as the abdominal muscle wall becomes lax with age and it is commonly seen in males.
If it is hernia as I suspect it will be very much advisable to consult a general surgeon as detailed examination and investigations like ultrasound of scrotum and lower abdomen will be required.
If nothing is done for it there are other complications that may arise like obstruction because the content that you are able to push back in abdomen can be intestines or omentum back in abdomen through the defect.
Hence, it will be highly advisable to consult a general surgeon for the same for detailed clinical examination and other investigations.
