Brief Answer:
Suggestive of inflammation of the eye lid.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi
Good Morning!

I appreciate your concern for the swelling in your right upper eye lid.
After having seen the uploaded picture I am of the opinion that you have some sort of inflammed/infected upper eye lid. May be an infected gland (Stye) that lies in the eye lid.

Could you please provide the following details:

1. For how long you have been having this problem, is it recurrent/
2. Do you have any pain in the swelling?

Looking forward to receive the requested information.

Best wishes

I have had it for about 8 days. I had a similar thing before but never for this length of time.

2. Do you have any pain in the swelling?

No real pain, just slight irritation

Brief Answer:
It is Stye.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi
Thanks for your reply.

Well, it is due to infection of the sebaceous (oily) gland of the upper eyelid which is referred to as "Stye".

Consult an ophthalmologist for a course of an appropriate oral antibiotic and NSAID pain killer to reduce the swelling.

Meanwhil:

Put warm compresses over the affected area 3-4 times a day for 10 to 15 minutes to help drain the stye, and to remove the infection from the oil gland.
Do not to squeeze or rub the affected area.
Avoid touching the unaffected eye to ensure that you do not spread the infection.

Hope to have answered your query.

Should you need more clarification, please do not hesitate to send your query, if not kindly close this discussion after rating the answer.

Have a good day.
