Brief Answer:
Get his eyes checked. ..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the accident your son went through.

Black eye after the hit is due to accumulation of blood. For the first 48 hours after the trauma, it is recommended to apply cold compresses to prevent further accumulation of blood.

After that, warm compresses are advised to apply in order to dissolve the accumulated blood.
As his doctor advised warm compresses, I believe it has been 3 days since he got hit.

Blood inside the left eye where he got hit is due to trauma, nothing worrisome, it will be gone in few days.

If I was his caring doctor would advise to get his eyes checked for any other complication from trauma.

Wish fast recovery!
