As below:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. This is an unusual but known complaint.

2. The cause is a non-specific allergy to change in temperature and humidity.

3. If the routine ear examination, hearing tests (PTA: Pure Tone Audiometry) and ear pressure tests (Impedance Audiometry or Tympanometry) are normal, there is no evidence of this swelling.

4. Another possibility is that your nose and sinuses respond to change in weather and the Eustachian tubes get blocked, causing the feeling of swollen ears.

5. Covering your nose and ears and keeping them warm may help. You may request your physician to give you a trial of anti-allergy medications and a steroid nasal spray around the weather change period. There is no specific treatment.

6. You may follow up with two sets of results of the tests mentioned above, one set before a weather change (when you are feeling all right) and one set during an episode. Also, if you can add any clinical examination reports, it will help.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
