Brief Answer:
About Diabetes diagnosis;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
To make the diagnosis of Diabetes there should be 2 elevated values:
- fasting over 105
- 2 hours after eating over 140
Prediabetes (105-125 fasting and 140- 200 mg/ dl postprandial), Diabetes ( over 126 fasting and over 200 mg/ dl postprandial that means 2 hours after eating).
You should also check HbA1c, that shows the mean glucose level of the last 3 months.
From the values you reported prediabetes is suggested, but the values should be checked in laboratory not with glucose meters as there are differences.
There should be at least 5 years presence of high glucose levels to have chronic complications of Diabetes such as peripheral neuropathy that you reported.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
