Brief Answer:
Need further evaluation...

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

Feeling your feet swollen and with purple color is not normal although you might be suffering of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. These symptoms might be related to:
- severe heart failure
- kidney problems
- issues related to local blood vessels

So, it is necessary to run further diagnostic tests:
- Echo Doppler of blood vessels in the legs and feet
- cardiac echo to evaluate your heart condition
- urine analysis and abdominal ultrasound to evaluate your kidneys

Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed.

Meanwhile, apart soaking your feel in cold water, I'd suggest to:
- raise your feet whenever possible
- massage/physiotherapy of your feet to improve circulation

Hope it helped! Let me know if I can assist you further!

Are there over the counter things I can get for the neuropathy? Can you make prescriptions for me? I don't have insurance or a regular doctor. XXXX

Brief Answer:
Following home remedies for swollen feet/ankles...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXXXX

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to make prescriptions online. It is against the laws.

With regards to management, I advise to:
- raise your feet whenever possible
- when you soak your feet in water at room/warm temperature, can add salt (1 table spoon) and sodium bicarbonate (1 tablespoon) inside or you can add Epsom salt to the bathe-tube and soak your swollen feet/legs
- take magnesium supplement you can find as over the counter (OTC)
- massage your feet with olive/lavender oil (if no fracture there)
- limit salt intake with foods/drinks

Once again, I understand that you do not have insurance, but, you need to see a doctor as soon as possible.

All the best!
