Brief Answer:
Possibility of hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear
Welcome to HCM and thanks for query
I understand your concern

Swelling and pain the groin area could be a hernia, angioma, lymph node enlargement.
But I think possibility of hernia as it will disappear within few hours.
Swelling and pain in the groin when straining, lifting, coughing, eating or exercising and that improves when resting suggests hernia. Bowel or Omentum fat will pass through a narrow sac causing these symptoms.

I would suggest to consult the general surgeon and undergo physical examination, X-ray abdomen in lying and standing, CT scan of abdomen for proper management.
Repair of a hernia via surgery is the only treatment for hernia.
Eat high-fiber foods. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains are high in fiber.
Avoid heavy lifting & smoking, maintain a healthy weight.

Hope I have answered your question.
If you have further query then I will be happy to help you
Best regards

Dr. I failed to mention that this pain is followed (most of the time) by immediate diarrhea and then continuous gurgling in that area for quite a while
