Question: Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...hi I had sex about a week ago and noticed about 2 days ago swelling and lumps on my shaft on the middle and side about a year ago I was told I had herpes but never had any thing like this happen it also had a shiny bump that just bust and it had puss and blood come out of it any advice

You have been diagnosed to have Herpes Infection one year ago. Please note that herpes infection may remain dormant for couple of months and reactivate after some period. Please get your screening test for herpes done by examination of a fluid from lesion and by doing screening blood test for presence of antibodies for Herpes 2 infection to confirm the diagnosis. ok thanks! so should I go to emergency room even tho the bump had pus and blood pouring out? and how do I get the medicine I need? also I was told I had herpes originally so did it progress two herpes 2? and is there another stage I should be worried about and are there any thing I can get for the sweeling like cream or something until I get medicine?? the swelling pretty bad and the one blister burst and draining out, so should the swelling to go down at all?

There are two types of Herpes Virus Herpes one affects mostly oral mucosa and Herpes 2 affects genitals . You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine along with acyclovir and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.Use topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily for local application. Please get prescriptions from your family physician. Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely. Thanks and Regards.
