What Causes Sweating After Low Workload With History Of Open Heart Surgery?
Question: I am 75 and have had open heArt surgery 25 yrs ago and thru the years my Dr has kept me on high blood pills and other heart calming pills to keep my heart beating slow..including cholesterol pills....have 4 stents . I have angina daily if I do anything somewhat strenuous. My question is I am now experiencing cold foreheads...sweat...and this occurring when my pressure is 111/58. Are the sweats and clammy forehead connected with my heart? XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Yes they can be connected
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Exertional sweating especially when occurring at low workload can be symptom of heart disease. It could be angina or heart failure. You need through evaluation including echo and if no contraindications TMT and further evaluation based on results. Though you seem to be on appropriate medicines still there can be room further improvement please let me know exact medicines and doses.
