What Causes Sudden Weight Loss, Fatigue And Abdominal Bloating?

Posted on Thu, 13 Apr 2017
Question: For the past few months I have been eating normal but I have lost 35 pounds. Almost every time I eat I have to run to the bathroom immediately and have had a few accidents trying to get to the bathroom. I have a lot of fatigue and sometimes bloated but no gas. I have a doctors appointment but they cannot get me in for 3 more weeks. My stomach is very noisy after I eat (rumbly) every time I eat anything. I am exhausted and really tired of the bathroom. Is it safe to wait 3 more weeks and what will my Doctor do to find out what is wrong?

Brief Answer:
With the 35lbs weight loss, I will say go in early.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for contacting us at healthcare magic.

I have reviewed your information fully and the weight loss is so much and points to possible ongoing pathological problem. for now, this sounds like food intolerance and malabsorption. I will like to see this investigated earlier than later. You could start by doing a few tests and returning the résults to me. I will suggest you get a complete stool analysis. As soon as you get the report, please upload it to me for review.

would you be fine if you didn't eat anything? Has anything new been added to your diet? How often do you use the bathroom daily to stool?

Most important, drink much water and avoid soda drinks. Get your stool analyzed and communicate findings to me.

I look forward hearing from you. I wish you well and promise to work with you to get this looked into and resolved.

Waiting......

Do I take a stool sample to my Doctor? Do I need an order for that? No new foods at all. I have never drank Soda and do drink bottled water daily. I am on no medicine except Advil for headaches once in a while and take acetaminophen Pm to sleep at night. I had my Gall bladder taken out in December. Lately I have been running to the bathroom a lot sometimes 10 times a day and most of the time it is as soon as I eat. I have tried not eating but the stomach pain is still the same. I have suffered with IBS most of my life but this is totally different.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Take the stool sample to the laboratory.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The fact that your gall bladder is no more might be contributing. The stool exam will help with this and most especially if it shows poorly digested and absorbed fats. the stool should be taken to a nearby laboratory and not your doctor. share results with me and take them along during your next visit.

I wish you well and lol forward hearing from you.
