Brief Answer:
A muscle cramp likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A sudden severe pain on the inside of the right leg with no history of injury is likely to be due to a muscle cramp.
Sometimes, it can be due to dehydration, muscle fatigue or electrolyte abnormalities. It is better to drink sufficient fluid and also see that your intake of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium ) is sufficient. You can drink Oralyte for this.
Muscular spasms can be treated by (1) treating the underlying cause (2) keeping yourself well hydrated (3) stretching the muscles involved (4) the use of anti inflammatory medication such as ibuprofen, cataflam with meals provided there are no contraindications to their use (5) a muscle relaxant may be necessary. You can consult your physician for a few blood tests in case the pain is recurrent.
I hope this answers your query.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to a nerve compression.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
If it is not like a muscle cramp then there can be a nerve root compression at the level of lumbar spine. This happens due to age related degenerative changes in the spine. Taking methylcobalamin supplements can help in that case.
Hope my answer is helpful.
