Brief Answer:
Some form of headache also cause slurred speech....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Slurring of speech can occur remotely with a type of migraine headache. I assume you have chronic headaches similar to migraine. Let me know if it isn't. And like your doctor's pointed out slurred speech isn't due to narco.

The cause why you get such headaches with neurological symptoms is not known clearly. A genetic component is thought to be a cause. However as a physician I will subject you to a MRI brain scan and angiogram at the earliest to make sure there are no signs of ischemia / stroke. The cause and its management will depend on test results.

So if you haven't yet got one scan it is time you ask your treating doctor about it.

Hope I am clear. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
