Question: Hello Sir/Mam,
I am not exactly under weight but I am on lower side of the weight if compare to my height.
Recently, I joined gym and started to eat more and increased no of meals a day but I observed that at the same time my frequency of motions are also increased. This means the food in take and out come both are increased but the neutrinos of the food are not staying in my body? does my body is not able to hold neutrinos for longer time?

is it normal?

Please guide.

Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

If you are consuming more food, then you will have more bowel movements because there will also be more food waste from the part of food that is indigestible. The nutrition that you get from the food is still being absorbed. Much of food is fiber and while that is beneficial to the digestive tract, it isn't absorbed and doesn't need to be. So more of it results in more bowel movements.

However, if your stools are now watery and loose, then you could be losing nutrition. Is that what is happening - do you have diarrheal stools? Are you having any other digestive problems, such as abdominal pain or cramping?

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX for your quick and helpful reply.

I doesn't have watery and loose stools. they are some time hard but not often, other wise it is normal. I also don't feel any abdominal pain or cramping,

My point of concern was the no of stools a day. I was worried about it and though my body is not able to hold the nutrition.

Thank you.

This is ok.

Hello XXXXXXX

From your description, this doesn't sound like it is unhealthy. More food results in more bowel movements usually.
