Brief Answer:
Probably a transient ischemic attack.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

It was probably a transient ischemic attack, that caused partial loss of vision in one eye especially if there were present other symptoms such limb weakness, impaired speech.

In such case, neurological evaluation and brain blood supply work up is needed to prevent other attacks and probably stroke.

High blood pressure is one of the most likely causes of transient ischemic attack so, it should be evaluated and treated correctly.

I think your husband should contact his primary care Doctor.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
