What Causes Sudden Loss Of Consciousness With High Blood Pressure?

Question: I passed out after being outside for about an hour and woke up on my own but I was confused. On advice from my friend who is a nurse. I drank 3 bottles of water a glass of orange juice and ate doritos (for salt), hours later I took my blood pressure it was 166/114, pulse 119, the second reading was 151/107, pulse 118, do I need to go to the hospital?

Dear Mrs,

If only blood pressure, I would advise you to monitor it for an hour or two, if it doesn't increase and you don't have any complaints, there is no need to refer to ER.
But you need to see a doctor as you had loss of consciousness. Most probably there is nothing serious, but to be in the safe side it is better to see a doctor, undergo medical examinations to exclude any serious cause for passing out.
