Brief Answer:
chances of abortion are there.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to HCM,

I can understand your concerns,

I have gone through your report.

Subchorionic bleed can lead to abortion in future if bleeding continues.

If it stops(size of clot does not increase), then pregnancy ends up uneventfully.

I advise that you should take complete bed rest, keep pad for observation and follow up ultrasounds to know the size of clot.

Along with it you can take tablet micronised progesterone 200mg (prescription drug) to sustain pregnancy. Discuss with your Gynecologist.

Hope it helps.

Feel free to ask further.

Thanks.

Hi

Thank you for your response.
You have mentioned if bleeding stops pregnancy ends up uneventfully. Can you just explain what does it mean?
My gynaecologist has prescribed for tablet as Sustain vt 200 for vaginal inserts.
Is there any explanation how the clot formed and which tissue was it that came out.
Is there any possibility if pregnancy continues then there is a chance for an abnormal baby?
Please mention clearly so that we do not remain in dark.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Pregnancy might continue normally.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
I am sorry that I did not make myself clear.

I will try to explain you things in slight detail:

Fetus is surrounded by two layers chorion and amnion. Uterus lining is named as decidua.

Sometimes abruptly or because of heavy physical activity, bleeding starts in between chorion and decidua or can say behind the chorion called as subchorionic bleed.

In some cases, it continues to bleed and fetus gets separated from uterus lining and leads to abortion.

In other cases, bleeding stops and clot size remain same till the end of pregnancy and patient delivered with out any complication.

It will not cause any abnormal baby if pregnancy continues.

In simple terms, I mean to say is that pregnancy might continue normally despite the blood clots and you will deliver a healthy baby.

I would request you to not worry much. Just keep taking your drug as advised and keep in touch with your doctor.

Hope I am able to clear your confusion.

Feel free to ask further if you have more doubts.
I wish you well.
Take care.
Thanks.
