What Causes Stomach Pain With Bloating, Constipation And Intermittent Diarrhea?

Question: I have current stomach discomfort with bloating, constipation, intermittent diarrhea and pain. I am worried I have a bowl obstruction..what other symptoms would I watch for before seeing a physician?

It has been happening for about two weeks..no blood..i do take antidepressants for bi polar, and nexium..i have acid reflux and get indigestion symptoms frequently.

In your case the possibility that it is a side effect of the antidepressants needs to be ruled out first. Best talk to the prescribing doctor about this.

The next step would be an internal check up that may include blood work for inflammation and ultrasound of the abdomen. If that does not lead any further a colonoscopy may be discussed to check for any colon condition like inflammation or obstruction.
