Brief Answer:
How do you take this medication? Do you drink much water afterward?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. Potassium pills are known to cause gastric upset and can erode intestinal wall lining causing symptoms of gastritis. This manifest with abdominal pain and difficulties swallowing if the esophagus is affected. This is more common with the pill than liquid preparation. If you are on a pill, please drink much water especially after consuming this pill so as to reduce the risk of having a possible gastric irritation.

I will suggest you talk to your doctor about your symptoms and hear what he has too say as well. I would be of the opinion that you add omeprazole to this treatment to protect the throat and the stomach. Drink much water after taking thee pills, especially the potassium chloride.

I hope this helps. I wish you well Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
