Question: Hello Doctor,

Since 11th XXXXXXX I was having pain in my stomach. The position was exactly below the chest but sometimes also at the sides. I ignored it for a week thinking it might be due to the exercise in gym. But on 18th XXXXXXX i had loose motions for a couple of times and vomiting on 19th for 2 times. Then on 20th XXXXXXX I visited a MS near my house. He has given me medication for 5 days and suggested to go for sonography and/or endoscopy if required after 5 days. I am taking those medications however, i still feel weak. The pain is not throughout the day, it happens couple of times. Yesterday night i could not sleep upto 2am as there was rumbling noise in the stomach and pain all over the stomach. But since morning nothing till now. Is my condition improving and why does the pain come in intervals. Is there possibility of gas as well? Does it take this long to heal?

Hello Doctor,

thank you for the detailed answer. today is the 4th day i am taking the aforementioned medications.

And prior to that i had 8-10 days of abdominal pain which i was ignoring and did not get treated. So overall this condition has prevailed for 14 days with 4 days of medication. While there is improvement, the pain still comes for some time after 15 hours on an average. Is this healing time normal or the symptoms should have been cured by now?

Regards,
XXXXX

Hi,
Since there is improvement, continue taking the prescribed medications.
You have taken 4 days of medications and you should have got significant improvement by now.
If you feel the symptom relief is not adequate, then you have to go for the tests advised by your doctor.
