Question: Frequently, after eating breakfast and dinner my mother does not feel well. Before eating she feels fine. She eats basically the same thing all the time:
Breakfast: 1 piece of turkey bacon, 1 whole grain waffle topped with honey, grits with a little sprinkle of shredded cheese and a Sprite soda
Dinner:
Grilled tilapia,
boiled okra, blackeyed peas, brocolli rice cheese casserole, and 1/2 baked sweet potatoe with butter and cinnamon and a Sprite soda

Brief Answer:
Possibly gastritis with duodenal ulcer.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. The abnormality in both appear to be a sprite soda. The possibility of gastritis along with a duodenal ulcer is more.

2. She will require proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole or esmoprazole, half an hour before food, twice daily for 2-3 weeks. The acidity after food appears to be irritating the duodenal ulcer resulting in dull pain sensation.

3. Avoid Soda, spicy diet, anxiety and stress. Adequate hydration and cold milk would be helpful.

If she has an acid reflux like or sour feeling in mouth after food, an additional domperidone would be necessary along with the proton pump inhibitors.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
