What Causes Stomach Cramps And Diarrhea Along With Yellow Specks In Stool?

Question: I have had stomach cramps and diarrhea 5 bowel movements and have pea sized 'things' in my stool I did pick one up and when I squeezed yellow pus like substance came out I have a hx of c-diff no blood in stool yellowish brown w/strong smell

I am Dr.Barani and I am pleased to assist you.

Since stomach cramps and diarrhea followed a course of the antibiotic Doxycycline, the diarrhea could be probably a C diff diarrhea.

Doxycycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic and it alters the gut flora and can also cause C diff infection.

Stool test(Routine , Microscopy and Culture sensitivity) may be done to confirm it.

Take Metronidazole 400 mg Three times a day for 10-14 days for relief.
Drink enough fluids to remain well hydrated.
