What Causes Sticky Ejaculation?

default
Posted on Mon, 16 Feb 2015
Question: Hi. I'm a 67 year-old male and for the last few weeks my ejaculate is a sticky, almost clear liquid, almost yellowish in color, rather than the white ejaculate all these years. Should I be concerned, or is this an aging thing? There has been no increase in my ejacultions (maybe twice a week).

1. No history of burning sensation.
2. No discharge from urethra.
3. No history of fever or lower abdominal pain.
4. On the average, I masturbate twice a week.
5. N/A
6. No history of illnesses.
7. I am on no prescribed medications. I am in good health. I do take Prisolec daily for heartburn.

Am I producing fewer sperm (if any) and might that be the reason for the lack of whiteness and thickness of ejaculate? And if so, should I add something to my diet? Or is it a moot point because of age.

PS: Orgasms haven't changed. Certainly no discomfort there. There has been erectile dysfunction for a half-dozen years, thus the masturbatory exercise. I've tried the different pills, but they gave me severe headaches.

I assume further response is pending. This is my first time using this service and not sure of protocol.

Brief Answer:
Could be age related v/s prostate infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them. There could be two possibilities for your complaint. First, infection of prostate AND second, age related. I would suggest you to once get an appointment with a urologist. He will examine you and perform some lab investigations like ultrasound KUB region (Kidney, Ureter and Bladder) and urine Culture & Examination. If confirmed he will prescribe antibiotic therapy which will resolve the complaint in 4-5 days.

If investigations come out clear then it is most probably age related changes and you should not worry for it as its a natural process.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
