Question: Hi. I was previously diagnosed with hypertension from my family doctor. Used lissinopril and valsartan but they would give me horrible side effects. So far have done EKG, stress test for my heart, lung xray, blood work and all came normal. I asked my doctor for MRI but she declined saying that there are not enough reasons. Due bad side effects of lissinopril I discontinued it and she prescribed Valsartan which from bad side effect like debilitating headache, dizzines, chest pains and depression and doomness I discontinued the use until the next doctor scheduled visit. While I been of medication I feel relieved and energic Also I don't know if this has any connection with my symptoms but until last year I slept few years in the basement because I like the cool in the summer and warmth in winters. While I staying there I sneezed sometimes or coughed. Then decided to move upstairs. Eversince the sneezing or occasionally coughing is gone but I have these symptoms that come and go: chest/cage stabbing pain that travels from the side to the bottom front or back rib and light ear pressure or hissing. Also wrist or finger stabbing pain that comes and goes. The symptoms happen mostly when is bad weather. Currently using the 80 mil aspirin,Fish oil, D3, Magnesium triple strength 400 vitamin Been checking my blood pressure constantly and varies 127-135/ 75/83. When the symptoms go away I feel great and blood pressure is 120-70. I exercise with my bike, go to gym, walk a lot at my work place, eat healthy my cholesterol levels are good according to my last months visit.
Ah an addition of what I wrote up I almost forgot when using valsartan I was getting palpitations as well which were the scariest ones. Palpitations happened when I was talking or bending to pick up something from the ground with left arm ( not with right arm though). Also when trying to fall asleepas soon as beging sleeping It seemed like I stopped breathing and woke up in terror ( this gone since stopped valsartan) Palpitations stayed for 2 more weeks and when recently started using triple strength magnesium vitamins they are completely gone but as I said I still have the other sympthoms above

Brief Answer:
The symptoms descibed points more to Reflux gastritis/ Muscular pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi , To understand your concern i did go though your history mentioned here and also your previous questions >
As far as i understand your present concern is the stabbing pain which comes and goes . also i will like to assume that you have stopped both lisinopril and valsartan and yet your blood pressure is in the normal range when measured at different times of the day and different days .
Now fluctuations in blood presure many a times may cause all the sympotms you have described so far , hence a more steady state with / without a anti hypertensive medication as per your tolerance is preffered . though presently the readings you mentioned are normal range .
now as you said the symptoms are related to bad wheather , are transient and your stress test with other supportive tests are normal , cardiac cause for the same are highly unlikely .
The sympotms and even the previous palpitations more on bending may be due to reflux gastritis , which is because of some stomach acid trickling back to your food pipe > the same can be addressed by avoiding fried , oily spicy food , cutting down on coffee , cocoa , fizzled beverages and sos antacids before meal and a once daily dose of Proton pump inhibitor 15 mins before breakfast .
Because you are regularly using gym and cycling a transint muscle pull may cause the pain . Most importantly i would request you to cut on the anxiety associated with the symptoms and they start a vicious cycle which increases your percetion of the symptoms and increases it manifold.
Lastly as you descbibe the sneezing / and seasonal variation you may have something like allergic bronchitis , where sleeping in a basement would expose to pollens , in this case the X ray will be normal and the cough may cause stabbing chest pain which by virtue is pleuritic pain as will go off by 2-3 weeks of your cough getting resolved.
for Any furthur query or discussion to resolve your doubts and help in symptom alleviation , i am always on the other side
