Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be a cause for worry

Detailed Answer:
From your description they appear to be multiple lipomas.

These are benign tumors arising from fat cells. Some of them can have nerve elements in them and are called neurolipomas. They can at times be painful.

Surgical excision is the treatment. But, since they are mutliple, removal of all of them would not be advocated. Hence, only one or two of them which are cosmetically significant could be removed. Any of these, if they become suddenly larger or cause significant pain could also be excised.

Generally they stay as they are over a long periods of time and hence do not require any intervention
