Question: hello noticed a small lump about 1 centimetre below the skin of the perineum about 2 centrmetres back from anus toward testies ..could this be swollen prostate

Hi,

Enlarged or swollen prostate does not usually present in this way. Digital rectal examination performed by putting a finger through the anus by a Urologist is the best way to assess the size of prostate.

However, as you are concerned about swollen prostate, I suggest you to undergo this test and a physical exam keeping your age in mind.

thankyou , the bump is small and hardly noticeable , I thought it may be part of the anal sphincter or just a fatty node ?
