Brief Answer:
Various causes to mucusy stools depending on time of onset....

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

Mucusy stools are indicating that there is a kind of inflammation in your bowels.
This could be due to:
- food intolerance
- an acute bowel illness (gastroenteritis - infection)
- chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)

If the symptom started recently, then, it is related to the acute bowel illness you might have passed. So, can you please specify:
- since when are you having mucusy stools?
- do you have hemorrhoids or constipation problems?
- any test done so far?
- any medication started recently or prior to mucusy stool appear?

For the moment, I advise to:
- increase fluids intake
- take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora

Looking forward to have the requested information in for a more specific guidance.
