Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that it is quite normal to have some ectopic heart beats time after time, especially during physical or emotional stress.

Anxiety could also trigger this clinical situation.

Anyway, if the problem persists, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing some tests to investigate for the possible underlying causes:

- a cardiac ultrasound to examine your cardiac function and structure
- an ambulatory 24-48 hours ECG monitoring to examine your heart rhythm trends for a prolonged time and exclude possible arrhythmia
- complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels for possibly thyroid dysfunction
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance.

If all the above tests result normal, you should consider anxiety as the main cause of all this clinical scenario.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
