Brief Answer: Detail follows Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome to healthcaremagic. I have read your query and understood your concern. I have seen the attached pics also. What i can appreciate is dryness over the legs although pictures are not that clear to me. Flash light is hindering the clear view. I will like to know the following details: 1) I will like to know whether the corresponding area is itchy or aymptomatic? 2) You said only right hand, so is it only the legs and the right hand that appears dry to you? Because if it is simple dryness , its usually bilaterally symmetrical. it should have involved the other hand too. I would like to know your occupational details also. Have you recently changed your soap or other cosmetic products like creams and all? Kindly get back to me with the answers of the questions alongwith more pics if possible including hand also. Stay healthy.

hello. 1. yes my legs get itchy. 2. The right hand was peeling and I peeled off most the affected area and I accidently peeled too deeply but it is healing and not as conspicuous as the legs. yes I changed my cream and then I noticed the dryness so I changed to something else as advised by a beautician. I currently use beva cream with suncreen and vitamin c. I was a bit concerned because I was thinking maybe it was fungal. I have attached more pics. I am a chief executive so my hands hardly get 'dirty'.p.s the discoloration on my hand is the area I have peeled and the red spot is where is healing.

Brief Answer: fungal infection Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome again. I have seen all the attached pics. They are really helpful and quite clear. you are right, it is fungal infection only. That is why it is not getting relieved with moisturisers and is asymmetrical. For confirmation of Diagnosis, skin scrapings for KOH to look for fungal elements is done. But from the pics, it is quite clear that the diagnosis is fungal infection. I usually recommend my patients oral fluconazole/ terbinafine along with topical antifungals creams containing clotrimazole/ miconazole/sertraconazole for atleast 2 weeks. For symptomatic relief, antihistaminics like levocetrizine, fexofenadine can be taken. I will advice you to change and wash your clothes daily and dont share your clothes with others . Get your blood sugar levels done. keep the area dry and clean. I hope it helps. if you have further query you may ask me. Else you may close the discussion and rate it. Stay healthy.
