Brief Answer:
Facial Melanosis; I suggest pigment lightening agents and sun protection

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I have also seen the Image. In the Image I can see a band of pigmentation across the forehead.

Pigmentation reducing agents like glycolic acid, hydroquinone, tretinoin, azaleic acid, kojic acid etc may be tried.
The mechanism of action of these pigment lightening agents is either exfoliation of existing melanin pigment (glycolic acid, tretinoin etc) Or inhibition of synthesis of new melanin (hydroquinone, kojic acid etc).
These ingredients may be combined together in a cream formulation to produce additive benefits.
Combination of tretinoin, hydroquinone and mometasone would work best for this pigmentation. While tretinoin helps exfoliate existing pigment, hydroquinone and mometasone prevent synthesis of new pigment.

These are prescription topical medications, I therefore suggest you to visit a dermatologist in your region for the needful

You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from a dermatologist.

Sun protection is an essential part of treatment of facial pigmentation.
I suggest you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen, throughout the day. Reapply every 2-3 hours.

Brief Answer:
I suggest you to visit a dermatologist for a prescription

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

You may find a broad spectrum sunscreen OTC Or you may also ask for a prescription from your treating doctor.
Neutrogena and L'oreal are a few good brands of sunscreens that you can try and find at you place. These are available OTC.

Hydroquinone is available OTC in many countries. You may also find some of the other pigment reducing ingredients in OTC products.
You may check with your local pharmacy whether these or some of these ingredients are available in OTC products in your country.

However, it is recommended that you visit a local dermatologist and get a prescription for these.
