What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Weakness?

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Question: My husband is 74, has been in fine health, 5'11, weight 155, (he has always been slim) no health conditions, (except various food allergies & a sensitivity fumes like chemicals or gasoline) he has needed no medications - some supplements; l-arginine, l glutamine, l-lysine & l-cysteine, & D3. About a month ago we went mushroom hunting, looking for matsutaki - just to see if we could find some. We didn't. Since that time my husband has steadily been experiencing shortness of breath, weakness, fast heart ranging from about 90 to 100, (normally he's about 65 or 70 with a rather low to normal blood pressure.) His lower inner eyelids are very pale, also the mucous membranes inside his mouth are very pale. He feels very weak.

Brief Answer:
He might be anemic. I suggest that he gets a blood test!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed all the information provided. These symptoms point to a possible blood shortage which explains the pallor, the increased heart rate and the fatigue. I suggest that he gets a blood exam so that we can confirm this, establish the cause and treat accordingly. Once the results are available, kindly upload them as well for me to review and provide an independent opinion.

I hope this helps. I wish your husband well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
