What Causes Sharp Pain In The Left Side Of The Head?

Question: For about 10 days I've had a sharp pain on left side of head. The last couple of days I've noticed the left side of my face is swelling. Should I go to ER or wait until my doctor appointment in 3 days?

can you upload picture of the face? If the swelling is not awkward and is not extending to neck area you can wait till 2 days for the appointment.
Since it's only on one side most likely inflammatory, then anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day can be taken.y . if you are not asthmatic, no gastric ulcer n kidney issues this is safe trial.

I uploaded a photo of my swelling. My left eye is drooping more than the right. In looking at my own pic, I noticed my forehead is swollen too. The swelling is the least of my concerns. The constant sharp pain on the left side of my head is what's worrying me. It hurts all day long. The pain is different than the pain I get all over my head when my blood pressure is high. I'm also hearing "popping" or "draining" sounds inside my head from time to time.
