Brief Answer:
Amitriptyline and clonazepam trial.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

Symptoms appear to be suggestive of 'primary headache syndrome'. Sometimes 'Tension type headache' may present like that and a trial of 'Amitriptyline' may be helpful. Anxiety may play it's role as well. So, along with a 'Clonazepam' trial is also desirable (these are prescription drugs, so you may need a prescription from your local physician).

Further, some kind of primary headache syndromes like 'SUNCT/SUNA' and 'Primary stabbing headache' may present with sharp pains.

If Amitriptyline trial does not help, a neurologist's in person opinion with a detailed history taking, will help.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD, DM(Neurology)
