Brief Answer:
Let him do a post treatment test!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

It is possible for treatment of H.pylori to fail. This is why it is recommended to do a post treatment test to confirm eradication. Though pain under left nipple is not typical of H.pylori infection, should he have had the same symptom at the time of diagnosis and treatment for H. pylori, then do a post treatment test is the way to go.

In all, not typical of H. pylori but I recommend a post treatment test in accordance with treatment guideline son H.pylori to establish eradication. If it is indeed negative, then the possible causes as muscle related pain would be explored.

I hope this guides and helps. Do well to share the results of the control test with me. Until next, I wish your son well.
