Brief Answer:
Your wife is having nonspecific shoulder pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic for posting your query

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern.

Your wife is having nonspecific shoulder pain. It is generally due to viruses and resolve gradually. She is already taking voleran and volini gel with not much relief. She can take strong analgesic such as tramadol. Muscle relaxant such as Thiocholchoside is helpful. Omeprazole empty stomach relieves acidity caused by analgesics and given with them. Rest is important. She should not use this arm till pain resolves. If she has no fever then nothing to worry as fever indicate cellulitis and infection.Vitamin B and C is helpful in resolving it.

You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.

Dear Doctor ,

Thanks for your advice . My wife had the medicine you had suggested and although the pain subsided during daytime it came back at night . She is having difficulty in getting up from bed and has to be assisted .Once up and walking she is ok . She is in the teaching profession , could this be a symptom of spondylitis ?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
She can take these for few more days and start mobilisation exercises.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
I have gone through your question and follow up question in detail and understand your concern.

She is unlikely to be having cervical spondylitis looking to her age and symptoms. However you can get x ray cervical spine AP and lateral view to see it.Her pain decreased to some extent. She can take these for few days more or till pain reduces. Once pain reduces she can start mobilization exercises of shoulder to prevent developing freezing shoulder.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will happy to help. If you have no clarification then you can close the query and rate the answer.
