What Causes Severe Pain In Upper Thigh Post An Injury?

Posted on Wed, 4 May 2016
Question: I fell on my side in deep slush several days ago. I did not get hurt, nor did anything hurt the day after. But, two days after I had horrible pain in the outside of my upper thigh, angling down the front of my thigh. I am presuming I hurt it when I fell. What could I have done?

Brief Answer:
Can be a bone injury.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain on the outer side of the thigh can be due to a muscle spasm or a bone injury. This can happen due to mild labral tear also. It is difficult to find out the injury without an actual examination. It is best to avoid weight bearing on the leg and take rest.
Do consult an orthopedician and get an X-ray done to find out any bone injury that you have.
I hope this answers your query.
