default
Posted on Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Question: I am experiencing severe pain in my right side moving a little bit to my back but mostly in my side mid to lower area. When the pain is severe i am also throwing up. The pain is always present usually a dull ache or throbbing. If i put pressure on it it feels a little better. Night time is the worse more uncomfortable and tend to toss and turn.. i have to raise my body to roll over because it hurts to even roll over. Low fever and loss of appetite as well. No amount of over the counter pain meds help. Took a norco i had left over and it did nothing for the pain.

Brief Answer:
Gallstones or kidney stone is a reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms can be caused by gallstones. It is much more probable than a kidney stone. However a kidney stone is also an option.
As you have fever, there is some inflammation. It means that you can not stay at home and do nothing.
I suggest you to visit ER as soon as possible. Abdominal ultrasound, blood work and urine analysis should be done.

Hope this helps.
Regards.

I have noticed since this started last Friday that i burp alot. Which is not normal for me. If it is indeed gullstones.... does that automatically mean my gullbladder has to be removed or is there other treatment? I have no insurance and a trip to the ER will be crippling to me financially. I was ready to drive myself there when the pain was so severe..i just need to see if anything else I can do on my own to make this better if possible.

Brief Answer:
Antibiotic is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Burping makes gallstones even more possible.
You should get an antibiotic for sure for the gallbladder inflammation. If an antibiotic is effective, the surgery can be sheduled so you can get the insurance.
But you need at least an antibiotic.
